A Gaggle of Gourds
Once cured, hard shelled gourds will last indefinitely and can be painted, carved, cut or drilled to make birdhouses, bowls, planters and hundreds of other craft projects. Vinca - Little Pinkie The Vinca Little Pinkie, 'Catharanthus roseus', is the perfect plant for that really hot and dry location. It blooms best when other plants are hurting from the heat. Little Pinkies can be grown as a perennial in frost free winter areas. It readily reseeds itself and is very drought tolerant. Little Pinkie Vinca should be planted in well drained soils and in full sun or very light shade. This low maintenance plant prefers regular waterings in sunny hot locations. The Vinca Little Pinkie is used in containers, ground cover, and borders. This plant is also known as devil's eye or sorcerer's violet. |
