Columbine - Black Barlow

The Columbine Black Barlow, 'Aquilegia vulgaris 'Black Barlow', is a beautiful, easy to grow spring blooming perennial. However, ‘Black Barlow’ has bloomed in some gardens until mid-August. The green foliage adds texture and color in the fall to any of your perennial beds. The exquisite pleated flowers are extremely dark purple, almost black. With a height of 32" and a plant spread of 14-16”, you won’t want to miss this. . ‘Black Barlow’ should be planted in full sun to partial shade in fertile, moist well-drained soil.   Columbine is a profuse self-seeder so it should be planted 16” apart. Sedum - Neon The Sedum ‘Neon’, Sedum spectabile, is topped with large heads of neon bright pink flowers that reaches a height of 18-24” and has a plant spread of 18-24”. The dark gray-green foliage makes this plant attractive in any garden. Sedum 'Neon' needs to be planted in full sun in well-drained soil. It will tolerate most soil types and is drought resistant. Plant with Aster ‘Woods Purple’ or Echinacea ‘Magnus’ for a wonderful autumn display. ‘Neon' is a great choice for beds and borders and excellent as cut flowers. It is also a great butterfly and bee attractor and disease resistant.
