Coral Bell- Crème Brule
The Coral Bells, 'Crème Brule', 'Heuchera 'Dolce Crème Brule' PPAF', is a new and exciting variety in the coral bell family. With a height of 8-12" and a plant spread of 16-24", this perennial is hardy from zones 5-9. It is grown more for its foliage color but the small blooms with attract hummingbirds. The improvements on this coral bell must be seen to be appreciated. It features creamy colors and rosy brown sugar highlights. 'Crème Brule' will tolerate morning sun but does require afternoon shade. Use this coral bell as a ground cover, in rock gardens, as a border plant or as an edger along paths and walkways. Dianthus - Rosie Cheeks The Dianthus 'Rosie Cheeks' has vibrant pink flowers that look especially stunning combined with blue and purple shades. Dianthus will bloom from mid summer to early fall. In order for a longer bloom time, deadhead the blooms continuously throughout the summer. Dianthus needs a sunny site with well-drained soil, but will tolerate some shade in the afternoon and humidity. These fragrant, spicy dove like flowers look wonderful as a border plant, rock gardens, along walks or paths, for edging and a definite in cottage gardens. |
