The Cosmos Albatross, 'Cosmos bipinnatus', is a pure white selection of the 'Early Sensation' series. Lovers of white flowers must try this Cosmos. The masses of pure white flowers are very early on this tall Cosmos variety, and the flowers are 3 to 5 inches in size. . The Albatross almost thrives on neglect. Cosmos begin blooming 10 weeks after seeding and bloom from summer to first fall frost. They like the shorter days of fall and will often bloom even stronger than they do in the summer. The Albatross Cosmos prefer full sun but they can withstand a little shade. They will thrive in average garden soils. Do not over fertilize or over water.
