Daisy - African Mix
The Daisy African Cape Marigold, 'Dimorphotheca aurantiaca', should be called "Goddess of the Sun" for flowers that reflect the beauty and the burning color of the sun. The 1 1/2 inch wide flowers close at night, in the shade, and during cloud cover. The flowers are colored in shades of orange and yellow. Cape Marigolds bloom in summer and fall in cool climates, and late winter and early spring in warm climates. The African Cape Marigold Daisy prefers full sun. They do best in light, well drained, and dry soils. Do not over water. In warm dry climates, seed in the fall and in cooler climates, and plant seed after last frost.
