Daisy - Midas Gold

For zones 9-11, this plant can also be a perennial. These daisys are winter hardy to USDA Zones 10-11 and they are grown as an annual in other cooler climatic zones. The yellow colored blooms have a pretty bronze center. The Midas Gold exhibits fast growth and is wonderfully floriferous grower for baskets, borders, and landscapes. The deeply cut, dark green leaves are aromatic when bruised. The daisy is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds, plus they are resistant to deer. The Daisy Midas Gold, 'Argyranthemum frutescens', is a fantastic release from Proven Selections. Daisy's may be used as a cut flower and they are excellent in window boxes, pots, and rock gardens. Midas Gold has a compact, mounding habit. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage additional bloom. This Lobelia works well as a great mixed container plant although it has the color and habit that allow it to stand alone as a specimen. Lobelias are known for thier tolerance of heat and cold. It's large blue flower is accented with a bright white eye.
