Daisy - Midas Gold
The Daisy Midas Gold, 'Argyranthemum frutescens', is a fantastic release from Proven Selections. The Midas Gold exhibits fast growth and is wonderfully floriferous grower for baskets, borders, and landscapes. Midas Gold has a compact, mounding habit. The yellow colored blooms have a pretty bronze center. Daisy's require a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil and should be kept well watered in the summer. Daisy's may be used as a cut flower and they are excellent in window boxes, pots, and rock gardens. The daisy is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds, plus they are resistant to deer. These daisys are winter hardy to USDA Zones 10-11 and they are grown as an annual in other cooler climatic zones. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage additional bloom. Geranium - Maverick Appleblossom The Geranium Maverick Appleblossom, 'Pelargonium x hortorum', is a unique variety that offers beautiful soft pink double flowers, complemented by distinct leaf zoning and an upright growth habit. The Appleblossom has excellent vigor and great landscape performance. They make large, full-sized plants and are very showy in ground beds and containers with their large, colorful pink blooms. Geraniums are a favorite bedding and container plant and are grown in almost every region of the country. These plants have succulent leaves and stems and they are commonly called garden geraniums or zonal geraniums. Geraniums are one of your best choices for use in hanging baskets. Plant in ordinary well-drained soil. Over fertilization results in excessive foliage and few flowers. Fertilize lightly every 2 weeks. Pinching of the shoots will promote bushiness. Remove spent flowers to enhance flowering. |
