Daylily - Pardon Me
The Hemerocallis ‘Pardon Me’, also known as a Daylily, has a very fragrant, small cranberry-wine, almost red flower, with a yellow throat, and a flower size of 3”. With dark green foliage, this daylily will reach a height of 18” and a plant spread of 23-29”. ‘Pardon Me’ will bloom from May through July, with outstanding color and a definite rebloomer. ‘Pardon Me’ prefers a full sun area that is well-drained. Although the blooms will last only for one day, there are many blooms on strong stems that rise above tall grassy foliage, (remove in late fall). ‘Pardon Me’ is considered to be pest and deer resistant. Crocosmia - Lucifer The Montbretia Lucifer, 'Crocosmia 'Lucifer’, is one of the newest Crocosmi’s on the market today. ‘Lucifer’ has a plant height of 36-42” and a plant spread of 30-36”. It does need a well drained site and full sun, but will tolerate morning shade. ‘Lucifer’ blooms in late summer to early fall, June through August. Try it as cut flowers or as a border plant in your perennial garden and it is also a major attractor to butterflies. |
