The Foxglove Gloxiniiflora, 'Digitalis purpurea 'Gloxiniiflora', is a dramatic bloomer for your shade garden and it makes a stunning cut flower. The Gloxiniiflora is a very sturdy variety of Foxglove. It is considered a biennial because it produces foliage the first year and flowers the 2nd year. The 2 to 3 inch long flowers are white, pink, salmon, yellow, cream, and cerise. Foxglove begins blooming in spring and blooms for 6 to 8 weeks. The Gloxiniiflora is one of the few flowering plants that flowers well in the shade and it will take some sun.
