Grass - Fiber Optic Grass

The Fiber Optic Grass, 'Scirpus cernus/aka Isolepsis cernus', is a bright green grasslike plant with small flowers at the stem tips. Perfect for use in container edges, borders and beds. Fiber Optic Grass is a cute little rush (formerly known as Scirpus cernuus) forming 10-12" clumps with fine hair-like blades that terminate with a little tuft of inflorescence. Isolepis really does resemble those fiber optic lamps, except it only comes in green. This grass indeed looks like it is a small clump of green stems with fiber optic bulbs on each end. Ageratum - Artist Purple The Ageratum Artist Purple , 'Ageratum hybrid', has beautiful purple blooms. This Proven Winner plant is able to renew itself continuously throughout the season by over-growing old blooms with fresh colorful new blooms. It is also exceptionally heat tolerant. The Artist Purple has an open habit and will add texture and mid-height interest in large containers or landscapes. They produce radiant clusters of fuzzy flowers, early and on even compact plants. They flower May through October and are a low maintainence plant. Ageratum are great for borders, containers, and rock gardens. For zones 9-11, this plant can also be a perennial.
