Holly - Winter Red

Winter Red Winterberry, 'Ilex verticillata 'Winter Red', is a female selection that has abundant, large bright red fruit that persist into the winter, which are excellent food for birds. The dark green foliage turns a shiny bronze color in fall. Winterberries are the "queens" of the fruiting shrub world when ranked for ornamental value. The fruiting branches are great for decoration in the garden or in the house. The leaves drop off the plant in late fall to expose the beautiful berries. You'll need both male and female plants to produce fruits and Red Winterberry requires Ilex 'Southern Gentleman' for pollination and berry production. A wonderful shrub for winter interest, the Winter Red Winterberry shrub reaches 6-8 feet in height and width. It is one of the best plants for fall and winter color. ... additional information

Willow - Japanese The Japanese Willow, 'Salix Integra Flamingo', produces beautiful pink foliage all season long. The outer leaves turn a bright pink while the inner leaves are green and white. The Japanese Willow has 4 season interest. In the spring, before it leafs out, it produces hundreds of slender catkins that contrast brilliantly against the deep red stems. Then you see the pink summer foliage and in the fall and winter the striking red stems. You may prune the plant back for another flush of pink foliage later in the season. Regular pruning will promote a denser and bushier plant. Great as a container plant.
