Hosta - Elegans
The Hosta 'Elegans', Hosta sieboldiana, is an extra large Hosta with heart-shaped leaves. Being blue-green in color, it has a heavy, deeply tucked texture with powdery like cast which make it very striking. The white flowers bloom from July to August, however, Hosta’s are not known only for their flowers. With a plant height of 30” and a spread of 48-60”, Hosta’s provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage. Hosta ‘Elegans’ needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained area. Evening Primrose - Glowing Magenta The Evening Primrose, Glowing Magenta, 'Oenothera kunthiana', is a new Oenothera unlike any other. The deep pink flowers stand out against its deep green foliage. It has a plant height of 6” and a spread of 5-10”. ‘Glowing Magenta’ is unusually compact for its species and has an extremely long flowering time, (June to September. ) Oenothera requires full sun and needs a good drainage site.
