Hosta - Francee

The Hosta ‘Francee’, Hosta fortunei, has heart-shaped dark green leaves with narrow yellow changing to white margins. The lavender flowers bloom from July to August, however, Hosta’s are not known only for their flowers. With a plant height of 18” and a spread of 36-48”, Hosta’s provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage. Hosta ‘Francee’ needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained area. Sedum - Black Jack The Sedum 'Black Jack', 'Sedum 'Black Jack' PPAF, is a recent discovery at Walters Garden in Michigan. The stems and foliage are darker than most sedum in its family. It has 2' tall clumps of purple stems with black to purple foliage. With a plant height and width of 24", its 8" pink flower heads bloom in September, making a wonderful contrast with its foliage.
