Hot Peppers - Big Chilli
The Hot Pepper Big Chili, 'Capsicum annuum', is a compact plant that bear tremendous yeilds of mild, thick walled fruit. The Big Chili has larger fruits than other Anaheim chili peppers. Large crops of the 8 inch long peppers are produced over a long harvest period. The Big Chili Pepper is used for roasting, peeling, and in cooked dishes. Transplant outside in the spring 3 to 4 weeks after last frost date. Note: To get a jump on the season transplant outside, use a walls-of-water or some black plastic to maintain and increase temperatures. Plant in average garden soil with sufficient organic matter. Angelonia - Angelmist Purple Stripe The Angelonia Angelmist Purple Stripe, 'Angelonia angustifolia hybrid', is also know as Summer Snapdragon and displays gorgeous purple striped flowers. These Angelonias have been bred for flower performance as well as a great upright branching growth habit. Angelonias in containers make full blooming specimen plants that are great for the patio or yard. They are hardy until the first frost. The flower stems are great for making vase arrangements providing enjoyment for 10 days or more. This plant can also be a perennial in warmer zones. |
