Prince of Wales is a good ground cover and it is useful for erosion control on slopes and banks. The low spreading branches branches form a starburst pattern. Prince of Wales exhibits medium green foliage with blue overtones which becomes tinged with purple in winter. Honeysuckle - Red Rum Adaptable to poor soils and is shade tolerant. The Red Rum Honeysuckle, Lonicera maackii, is a deciduous shrub that grows to 8' to 12'. Leaves acquire a yellow fall color. It has an upright vase shape. Excellent as winter wildlife food source, windbreaks and landscaping. It produces masses of white flowers that mature to yellow followed by profusion of 1/4" bright red fruit persisting into winter.
