Ladys Mantle
The Alchemilla ‘Lady’s Mantle’, Alchemilla mollis, is a brilliant foamy clusters of tiny, star like flowers with velvety soft olive-green leaves. The foliage catches and holds water drops while sparkling in the sun. The flower color ranges from yellow to green and blooms in late spring to early summer with a height of 18” and a plant spread of 18-24”. ‘Lady’s Mantle’ will grow well in sun or shade in rich, moist, well-drained areas. (If summer temperatures are too high, grow in partial to full shade). It is best used for edging with Coral Bells, Geraniums or Hosta’s. The blossoms can be used as dried flower arrangements. Peony - Bowl of Beauty The Peony Bowl of Beauty, Paeonia lactiflora 'Bowl of Beauty' is a single bloom peony with rose colored blooms and creamy yellowish-white centers. Peonies are one of the best cut flowers and are often used in the Midwest to decorate gravesites on Memorial Day. All of our peonies are widely adaptable to most soils across the country. They bloom in mid to late spring and have very large, colorful blooms that stand out in the spring garden. Peonies can handle dry to moist sites, and do best in full sun but can handle some light shade. Often thought of as a plant used on the farm or out in the country, they bring a little bit of that country feeling to your garden.
