Lantana - Patriot Cowboy

The Patriot Lantana Cowboy, 'Lantana "Patriot" Cowboy', is an annual shrub like plant that will produce beautiful bright-orange flowers with a touch of yellow. Pinch off spent flowers to promote new flower growth. Plant Lantanas in full sun and well drained soil in either beds or containers. The Cowboy Lantana has attractive foliage and the foliage is topped with vividly colored flowers. Some contact with foliage may irritate sensitive skin. The brightly colored flowers of Lantana are excellent for attracting hummingbirds and butterflies. All Lantana's are tough, resilient plants that thrive in hot weather and bloom profusely from spring until frost. Lantana prefers moist soil, but is drought tolerant. The Lantana is also commonly called a Shrub Verbena. All Lantana's contain a toxin that if ingested may cause stomach discomfort. Lantana is an excellent choice for beds or containers. ... more

 

Fuchsia - Autumnale The red sepal/purple corolla flowers perch on a splendid trailing Fuschsia distinquished by pure gold leaves flushed with purple and orange. This Proven Selections plant blooms all summer long. They are great plants for greenhouses, window boxes, baskets, homes, and flower beds. Fuchsias should be planted in warm, sheltered spots in well-drained soil. These plants have dark green leaves often with red stems. Fuschia is one of the Hummingbirds favorite flowers. Fuchsias do not like to dry out. Keep the soil moist to the touch from spring through autumn. In many parts of the country (and especially if planted in a hanging pot) the fuchsia will require daily watering.
