Lantana prefers moist soil, but is drought tolerant. The Lantana Patriot Passion, 'Lantana "Patriot" Passion', is an annual shrub like plant that will produce beautiful bright white and lavender flowers. The Lantana is also commonly called a Shrub Verbena. The Passion Lantana has attractive foliage and the foliage is topped with vividly colored flowers. Plant Lantanas in full sun and well drained soil in either beds or containers. Pinch off spent flowers to promote new flower growth. The brightly colored flowers of Lantana are excellent for attracting hummingbirds and butterflies. Lantana is an excellent choice for beds or containers. All Lantana's contain a toxin that if ingested may cause stomach discomfort. All Lantana's are tough, resilient plants that thrive in hot weather and bloom profusely from spring until frost.
