Lily - Fata Morgana (Asiatic Double Lily)

The Asiatic Lily Fata Morgana, 'Lilum ‘Fata Morgana’, also known as Asiatic double lily, has extremely bright yellow flowers with 5-7 flowers per stem. The antlers have been replaced with petals producing a double flower. The dark green foliage makes a great contrast with its flower color. ‘Fata Morgana’ has a plant height of 39” and is one of the newest Lily’s on the market today. This lily is a little different than the rest, for it does not produce pollen in the middle of the flower, giving it a longer bloom time. Blooming in mid to late June, ‘Fata Morgana’ should be planted in full sun and in a well drained soil. Veronica - Blue Streak The Veronica Blue Streak, 'Veronica spicata', is an easy to grow perennial that adds beauty to any garden. This Veronica produces wonderful spikes of lavender blue flowers that bloom from June till September. With its brilliant green foliage, it has a plant height of 18” and a spread of 18-24”. ‘Blue Streak’ needs a full sun area with well-drained soil. Deadhead the flowers after the first bloom to prolong its bloom time. Try ‘Blue Streak’ with Hemerocallis ‘Stella de Oro’ or Veronica ‘White Icicles’.
