Mullein - Bananna Custard

The Verbascum Banana Custard, 'Verbascum hybridum', also known as Mullein, has huge, two-toned flowers that are useful in any perennial garden. The flowers are bright and light yellow, making it different from the rest. The foliage is light green, which adds contrast to the flower color. ‘Banana Custard’ has a plant height of 2-4’ and a plant spread of 1-2’ and blooms from late spring into summer. Removing spent flowers to encourage additional bloom time. This low maintenance perennial requires dry to medium soil and should be planted in full sun for best results. Astilbe - Key Largo Astilbe ‘Key Largo’ blooms in mid summer and is 16-20” tall and a plant width of 18-24”. Do not allow Astilbe ‘Key Largo’ to dry out. Astilbe can be used as cut flowers, perennial borders or shade gardens with Hosta’s and Ferns. Astilbe is considered to be deer resistant and will attract hummingbirds.
