Petunia - Supertunia ® Royal Magenta
The Petunia Supertunia ® Royal Magenta, 'Petunia hybrids', are brilliant in color and are very low maintenance. The Royal Magenta has beautiful purple flowers. Supertunias are a vigorously trailing species of an everblooming, long-living petunia from Australia. They will provide long-term color in full sun areas throughout the season, and can grow nearly an inch a day. They are ideal for baskets, beds, balconies and combination plantings. Supertunias are very heat and drought tolerant once established in the ground or pot. They do not need to have their dead flower heads removed to continue flowering and they are not leggy. Supertunias grow fast and therefore need ample moisture and fertilzer. For zones 9-11, this plant can also be a perennial. ... more info
Coleus - Splash The Coleus Splash, 'Coleus hybrid', has bright green to light chartreuse foliage that is liberally splashed and splattered with rich purple. Coleus plants are durable and easy to grow. Coleus plants are so colorful that many people keep them and use them as a house plant. If a coleus plant is allowed to seed, it has completed its life cycle and will die. Poorly drained soils and excessive watering will damage coleus. Plants suffering from "wet feet" will be stunted, leaves will turn a muddy brown, and leaf margins will be scorched. For zones 10-11, this plant can also be a perennial. |
