Phlox - Purple Flame

The Phlox Purple Flame, 'Phlox paniculata', is an ideal ground cover with masses of tiny dark purple flowers with a white center and a thick mat of foliage. ‘Purple Flame’ is a new variety with variegated foliage and a pinkish tinge near the tips or the leaves. Blooming from April to May, it has a plant height of 12” and a spread of 12-18”. It is a definite addition to any perennial garden. ‘Purple Flame’ needs to be planted in a full sun area in well-drained soil.
