The Lychnis Jenny, 'Lychniscoronaria', a Blooms of Bressingham plant, is an upright perennial with woolly green foliage. The large fluffy pink flowers double and white markings run into the petals. ‘Jenny’ is a definite improvement from other Lychnis. The flower is larger, sterile and more refined. ‘Jenny’ has a plant height of 30” and 18” spread. The 1 ½ inch blooms are beautiful and they bloom from May to September. If cut back, they will bloom longer. ‘Jenny’ should be planted in full sun to light shade, but does require moisture and free-draining soil. Geranium - Midnight Reiter The Geranium Midnight Reiter, 'Pelargonium', has rich, true blue flowers that bloom from June till August. With its beautiful dark purple foliage, it has a plant width of 12” and a height of 6”. (If grounded in shade, the foliage turns green with purple highlights. ) ‘Midnight Reiter’ needs to be cut back in early summer for repeat bloom time in the fall. It is a superb plant for cottage gardens, container growing, borders or informal borders in mass plantings. There is an attraction to bees and butterflies and it is very disease and deer resistant.
