Sedum - Frosty Morn
The Sedum ‘Frosty Morn’, also known as Stonecrop, is a wonderful Sedum that has gray-green leaves with creamy white margins. ‘Frosty Morn’ has a height of 24” and a spread of 18-24”. The dense, star shaped, pink flowers appear in late summer and last in fall, and bloom from August to September. The new growth shows blue-green leaves that turn into deep mahogany red in the fall that can’t be missed. Sedum ‘Frosty Morn’ needs to be planted in full sun in well-drained soil. It will tolerate most soil types and is drought resistant. The superb green leaves turn red bronze in the fall and the pink flower spikes appear from summer into autumn. ‘Dimity’ has a plant height of 6” and a spread of 18-23”. The foliage forms a shiny carpet that should not be missed. ‘Dimity’ should be planted in a full sun area but can tolerate some afternoon shade. Sun will make the foliage look its best. It does need a well-drained area, making sure it is not over watered. ‘Dimity’ will look great in any perennial garden, in mixed container, woodland edge or near ponds and streams. |
