Sedum - Purple Emperor

The Sedum 'Purple Emperor', also known as Stonecrop, has dark purple, almost black leaves with compact purple stems. In the summer, they are topped with heads of pinkish, purple flowers. With a plant height of 15” and a spread of 12-23”, it is wonderful in any landscape. Sedum ‘Purple Emperor’ was awarded the Outstanding Perennial Plant Award from the International Hardy Plant Union in 2002. Sedum 'Purple Emperor' needs to be planted in full sun in well-drained soil. It will tolerate most soil types and is drought resistant. Plant with asters or coneflowers for a wonderful autumn display. Lungwort - High Contrast The Lungwort High Contrast, 'Pulmonaria', also known as Bethlehem Sage, is a great ground cover for any shady area, helping to lighten up parts of the garden. The green foliage is wavy, spear-shaped and speckled with silver, not to mention mildew resistant. The large pink flowers fade to blue. ‘High Contrast’ has a plant height of 18” and a spread of 18-23”. ‘High Contrast’ needs to be planted in a fully shaded area with well-drained soil.
