Zinnia - Cut & Come Again

The Zinnia Cut and Come Again, 'Zinnia elegans pumila', displays hot shades of orange, pink and scarlet flowers . Cut these old-fashioned blooms for your bouquets, and flowers will "come again", producing continuously from early summer until first frost. The 2 to 3 inch double flowers appear in shades of pink, rose, magenta, scarlet, orange, yellow, and cream. The zinnia plant is very easy to grow. For long hot summers, nothing beats zinnias for brilliant bloom color and long bloom period. The Cut and Come Again Zinnia is an annual plant that produces the best flowers in full sun. Zinnia elegans prefer rich, deep and well drained soil. For best results mix a high phosphorus, low nitrogen fertilizer in with the soil. Plant in late spring, about two week after average last frost. Cabbage - Discovery The Cabbage Discovery, 'Brassica oleracea (Hybrid)', is so tasty and so sweet that Discovery is the only cabbage a national food chain will use. Discovery is an early to mid-sason variety. They are much better than the grocery store cabbage. Discovery is easy to grow and is a great container variety. Plant in the spring, 3 to 4 weeks before the last frost for summer harvest. In warm climates, plant in the fall for winter harvest. Harvest the heads after they firm up and are solid when squeezed.
